Dear Creators,

It’s when things are not going well that we really need to remember that we can be deliberate creators. And, it’s when things are not going well this seems so hard to do. Feeling good doesn’t seem like an option when faced with sickness, conflict, difficult people, problems.

We have to start where we are. Ignoring, denying, resisting doesn’t serve us. Sometimes we have to acknowledge what we are experiencing, be with it. Think of it as contrast – showing what you don’t want so that you can identify more clearly what you do want. It doesn’t mean we have to stay here forever or that this is the only way of being with this situation – it is just a starting point. When you allow yourself to be with it – without resistance - see what shows up. Ask yourself about it....notice your body.....pay attention to the thoughts you have about this. Pay attention to your energy, notice any shifts. Notice any insights, ideas that come up around the issue. Ask yourself what you do want and what that would be like. Imagine yourself feeling better – even just an itty-bitty bit better – some amount that is plausible – and try that on. Notice any shifting. Notice how you are creating.

Bring what you know, the practices, the insights, the increased awareness to the forefront and benefit from them.

Dear Creators,


Let’s take a few minutes to reflect on balance. Balance is such a dynamic, ongoing and fundamental element of our well being and it is something we may only notice when it is lacking. When we feel out of balance - involving change – wanting more of this/less of that – in those circumstances we focus on balance and realize how essential it is. Being conscious creators means we can be pro-active; recognize the experience of balance and be aware when it is time to re-think, re-direct; do something to get that groundedness.


Here are some ways to give yourself a balance check. Look at the categories below and see which areas feel in balance, and which you would like to adjust. What resonates with you?

· Energy through the day:.....high energy...........low energy

· Budget:......spending...............saving

· Weight:.........satisfied .............unhappy

· Time........busy......................bored

· Relationships........togetherness..........alone time

· Personal growth.......stuck............overwhelmed

This is just a start. Identify your own categories and ask yourself where you are and where you want to be. What would balance be here? Even if you don’t think it is possible right now. Give yourself permission to imagine what it would be like.What are you noticing?

Dear Creators,


Here is a simple message for this middle of July: Allow yourself to experience the good.

Recognize all that is present right now in this moment.


Notice where you are: look around; take in the colors, smells, feelings, sounds, tastes.


Consider the people around you: their gifts, uniqueness, energy.


Feel your body: enjoy the sensations it provides; the groundedness, the presence.


Focus on your work for this day: the day’s tasks, questions, activities; feel the energy around that.


Notice where you are in the constant movement of change; in the ebb and flow, the letting go and taking on, the uncertainty and anticipation.


Choose how you want to be with circumstances as they are, where you want to put your attention, what you want to notice and be open to. Be ready to recognize opportunities and answers as they present themselves. Expect the best. Enjoy it all.

Dear Creators,

It can be really easy to take things for granted, to not notice, not appreciate what we have attracted into our lives. Often it is what we feel is missing or lacking that gets our attention. There can also be a tendency to discount the value of our efforts in the attaining of a goal, as if it’s “just luck – no big deal.”

Living consciously, we want to wake up and be active participators – not passive recipients of whatever comes our way. So, we recognize our desires; we notice our feelings around those desires; we are aware of our thoughts and choose the better thought, make room for the experience we are wanting; expect to enjoy the process; and keep an open mind about the when and exact details regarding the way in which our desire will show up. We also recognize and acknowledge ourselves, our qualities our willingness to grow and learn.

In the mean time we practice noticing all the good that comes our way. It becomes a habit and we are rewarded over and over again. That becomes our new normal. Enjoying the present and anticipating more good stuff to come by starting to acknowledge all that is right here, right now in this moment.
