Dear Abundance Creators,

This morning think about what you want. What do you notice? Have you detected different levels of wanting?

There is the wanting that is like paging through a glossy catalog, “Oh, that’s nice….I want that, and that, those….” Many things, places, clothes, shoes, furniture, foods, hair-do’s look good in the pictures and I can say, “I want it all!” This is one kind of wanting. I’m calling this casual wanting. It’s recognizing things that are appealing, things that catch your eye. It can be fun. Like walking through the Mall of America and seeing the displays, the variety, the colors, all that new stuff.

Another kind of wanting is what I’m calling, really wanting. When you really want something it calls for action, commitment, making room for it. Back at the mall with money to spend there could be 10 pairs of shoes that catch my eye. I’m not going to take home all those shoes. There is a process for determining what do I want enough to buy, take home, make room for? I might ask:

· How do these compare with others in price, quality, style?

· Is this worth the money?

· Do they fit – my size – my style?

· Do I see myself using this, wearing this?

· Do I really want these?

So too with other things we want in life. Discern what is casual wanting and what you really want. When you really want something focus your attention, take action, make a commitment. Enjoy the parade of possibilities and stay aware of your true desires. Have your actions be in harmony with what you want to create….what your really, really want to create.

Dear Abundance Creators,

I went to the archives looking for inspiration this morning. Here is a message from a couple years ago that struck a chord. Sometimes it is worth remembering that there is a balance to being a work in progress, always learning, growing; and, being at peace with what is in the here and now. See what you think….

There seems to be a never ending supply of lessons to learn. Just when you get a handle on something, something else pops up...a new situation....a person does or says something unexpected. There’s another challenge – a call for a deeper understanding of something.

How do you react to that? Excited that there is more to learn - alive with the realization that there are endless possibilities? Or, do you have a sense of being overwhelmed that you are never done? Could it be you feel some of both? Times when it is exhilarating to know that being alive means that we always have opportunities to create anew, and times when we want to rest, to feel complete “as is.”

There is room for both, we want both. Acknowledge yourself for the courage it takes to be present, to be aware, accepting responsibility for what you create. Welcome your concern for wholeness, your desire to grow and learn; to bring your true self to the world; your honesty and compassion. Recognize the dance – the dynamic balance of continuing to learn and appreciating where you are with all its richness and aliveness - aware of what you have created in this moment with a willingness to welcome the new, the fresh, the different for what it has to offer.

Keep dancin’,

Judy

Dear Creators,

What is one thing you dislike that is part of your routine - a task, a duty, something you consider a necessary but not so pleasant must? This very “thing” could provide you with a good opportunity to practice making conscious choices to enhance your well being.

This week the question is, “What conscious improvement, change could I make in a task I consider unpleasant?”

Here are some possible ways to shift thinking, perception around this…

- Timing – when does this usually take place? Is there another time that would be better suited to doing this? Is it better to be early, fresh? To put it between other things? To leave it to the end of the day?

- Order – what about the process? Are there changes that could be made in the order of doing this? What steps happen at what point?

- Environment – where does this take place, what are the surroundings? Does the environment support the task?

- What’s the value of doing this? What makes this worthwhile? What is the end result you are seeking?

- How is this task connected to a larger picture?

- Does this have to be done all at once? Is it something to block out an amount of time to focus on this task without distractions, or is this something to break into small pieces and do bit by bit?

- Is this a task that can be shared? Must it be done alone, by you?

- What supplies, information, equipment is needed to get the job done? Have enough at hand as you focus your attention on the task.

The point is to choose, to be aware that you can make changes. That is being a conscious creator. Choose the thought you have around that task, choose your methods and align your actions.

Good thoughts,

Judy

Dear Creators,

This morning the reminder is to be present in the now, to experience and appreciate this moment. Whatever you are noticing, let your senses take in the smells (coffee); the sounds (lots of birdsong); the feel (sunshine through the window); sights (tress budding, tinges of green)….

Whatever you notice, wherever you are, be there.

Let any thoughts/desires that surface be present too without infringing on your appreciation of this moment. Let the desire for something else go with a thought: “Wouldn’t it be nice to have/do this or that sometime?” Send out the desire for this from a place of fullness, of appreciation for all you have right now. Send it out with a positive thought.

This moment is your life. How do you take it?

Warmed by the sun,

Judy

Dear Creators,

We are opening windows here, letting in the fresh air, getting the urge to clean (not my usual nature!). Spring is really here.

As you might be cleaning, rearranging, clearing spaces think about what you want to create. The question to consider is: “What are the conditions, what is the environment that supports me in connecting with my inner guidance? “

This seems like a good time to keep in mind that it is a choice to make room for that connection, for building awareness. Too often without making a deliberate choice to take time, have some silence, quiet your mind what happens is that our attention, thoughts, energy are used in reacting – not so deliberately, not so mindfully.

So, what will you say yes to, what will you say no to? What permission do you need to take some quiet time? What setting? Do you put it on your calendar? Turn off the phone? Put up a “do not disturb” sign? Make a commitment? Set a timer? What does it take? What is the value of having this? What will you learn? What will you notice? What will grow?

Really curious,

Judy
